Ingredients

1 lb. chicken breasts, boneless and skinless, sliced into thin strips
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup honey
2 tbsp rice vinegar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp ginger, minced
1/2 tsp sesame oil
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
1 cup white rice, cooked
1 green onion, chopped, for garnish
Sesame seeds, for garnish


Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Place the chicken strips in a ziplock bag and pour half of the marinade over the chicken. Seal the bag and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the marinated chicken strips. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce has thickened.
  4. While the chicken is cooking, prepare the white rice according to package instructions.
  5. Divide the cooked rice into bowls and top with the sticky chicken.
  6. Drizzle the remaining marinade from the skillet over the chicken rice bowls.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
