Ingredients

4 salmon fillets
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ginger, grated
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Salt, to taste
Lemon wedges, for serving
Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish


Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, black pepper, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a ziplock bag and pour the marinade over them.
  3. Make sure the fillets are fully coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, up to 2 hours.
  4. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and lightly grease it.
  5. Remove the salmon fillets from the marinade and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Pour any remaining marinade over the fillets.
  7. Bake the salmon for 12-15 minutes, or until cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. You can also broil it for the final 2-3 minutes for a caramelized finish.
  8. Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Serve with lemon wedges, a sprinkle of fresh parsley, and your favorite side dishes.

Notes

For extra caramelization, you can brush the salmon with more marinade while baking or broiling.

Make sure not to overcook the salmon to ensure it stays juicy and flavorful.
